Ok I’ve been up, I can’t get to the floor due to all the insulation, I’ll just have to get a trap of some sorts. I’ve just read though, it’s common at this time of year for squirrels to nest in attic’s ?

If you have anything nr house roof that a squirrel can climb up then 99% its a squirrel wouldnt have thought a rat would come into your house as you have a dog and rats will stay clear might be a field mouse if tree nr by and you live in a bungalow. best bet take dog up on lead and it will sniff it out of hidey hole then you will see what it is.

Colin, you haven’t met my dog. It couldn’t sniff a joint of beef, she sat outside last night enjoying the fireworks, she thinks she’s human and would try and play with the damn critter even if I caught it and shoved it under her nose ?
