Yeah i know, although tbh if i hadn't had the house rewired and the new boiler already this year, i would probably have bought it already

Blimey thought mine was expensive when I bought it. Aye not cheap kit but it is good, the problem now is that like computers, today's top of the range is tomorrows scrap. I still use my old film cameras as well as digital, long winded and no instant results but the finished article is difficult to better. a bit like the digital v analogue sound argument. And I like printing my own pics so I'm still a big fan of film

Hahaha, yep. My phone contract is just about to end and I'm being offerred a shiney new S7 with a load of functions I don't need. All it has to really do is to be able to make a phone call, connect to the internet and may have a camera. Ffs, I don't need the bloody thing to come with a zillion options and an inpenetrable menu system - it's a phone not a feckin space survial kit.

Yes anything low key ( dark backgrounds ) is what this baby does best, not done anything serious with astrophotography barring the perseid, leonid and geminid meteor showers, and the results were lousy, so this new camera should improve them vastly.
