Do people find you're willing to invest in gear/equipment etc if you get something from it? I've quite a bit of gear from a sling, to eletro, sounding kit, to clothing footie kit, rubber gear etc, to self made bondage chair and spreader bars.

So what do you look for in the shop that makes you buy from them, in rubber terms it's the personal touch having them made to measure and meeting the person making it.

For mummification it's clingfilm and gaffer tape.

Wax play, you need special candles for but they can be cheap enough.

Or do you look for cheep but effective gear such as cling film and gaffer tape or even pegs make for good cbt/tt fun.

I think with certain things, you have to be willing to pay the price.

For example, I've been looking around at paddles and floggers that will give me the thuddy sensations, rather than stingy.

Cheap BDSM stuff is actually widely available if you know where to look, but it's not built heavily enough for fans of thuddy pain, from what I can see. And as for the floggers available - if you want cheap, you're looking at the 'tie me up and tickle me' style floggers that don't really do anything.

To get the sensation I want, I'll need to go to specialists, who will charge for their time and skills (as they should!)

Exactly there's some things you can do on the cheap that's great and accessible for those who are starting to dabble in S&M or BDSM that don't cost the earth, but once you've discovered your enjoyment and thrill then you can move into the more mid range then expensive items.

People have to remember kink is cheap if you know what to go for you can even make some things yourself as well as buying from Tesco or Aldi - M&S and Waitrose for those with mid range budgets hahaha.

But most importantly you don't need to pay the earth to try something new.

I will note *warning* those wanting to try wax play, do get the proper candles they are designed to melt at a lower temperature and safe to hold, from a height over someone, don't just buy 5 candles for £1 as they will cause 3rd degree burns and end your sex life for a while if not longer.

Yes, seconded. Candles that aren't designed for wax play contain parrafin which is what makes it burn at a higher temperature - don't do wax play with candles that aren't made for it!

Agreed but definitely the higher end stuff is more expensive and fair enough really.

That said!
I’ve tied her nibs up with an RAC tow rope. ?? x

Bet that was fun though! ??
Damn right it was. The RAC tow rope I recommend actually.
It’s thick, soft on skin, easily done for Shibari, workable and strong - the fekin stuff pulls vans & cars. ?

But yes, I practiced a few knots, then went for it. We had a ball. ? x

Pic to prove that RAC tow rope works. Is miles long, cheap as chips.

Shibari? With thick rope?? That's... that's blasphemy! XD In all seriousness, as long as you could manage with it, that's all that matters. I'm a bit of a snob, so my OH says anyway. 6mm jute for me any day. ??
Agreed. One of my tools is a pizza wheel.. ?
Kinky bugger! ? ? ? ?

Yes it’s tricky no doubt, but a better rope is far better. But you can do some things. Not many, but a few. Too thick as you say. ??

Well yes, the pizza wheel works. Honest ?

We have made a few things, a cross, floggers, paddles and we use quite a bit of stuff from hardware stores. We are happy to buy things we can't make, like electro kit, cock rings, chastity stuff etc and we have, when we weren't sure, bought cheaper items so we could try them first to find out if we liked them. If we did we would be happy to pay for quality kit but some we found weren't really for us.

I have cuffs, bed restraints, a collar/ball gag/cuffs combo (still waiting to test out). a crop and some rope for shibari. With the right person and consent these would be used and other things like clover clamps, nipple/clit/pussy suckers/pumps would also be considered.
Just waiting for that person to come and indulge with me ?

Hi all you sexy kinksters :sneaky:

I've got to be honest, I have spent a small fortune on BDSM and "kinky" gear.
I just can't help myself. I get turned on when my imagination takes over as I browse the kit on offer :):whiplash:

Even when I have no one to play with I still can't stop myself
I work on the basis of "be prepared" as you never know when an opportunity might arise.
Here's a few items just err... "gagging" to be used on the next willing victim :sneaky:
