Never been n Morecambe beach and rarely go on the beach in Blackpool, I go a little further down the coast to Lytham, bit nicer there.That's a long way to come just to go to the coast, but I suppose Scarborough and Whitby are better than Blackpool or Morecambe they are in Yorkshire after all, which as we know is the best county in world ever.

haven't been to Cosby or Freshfields, am I missing much?No beach near us.. toss up between.. crosby/freshfeilds/ southport or blackpool as to which is closest.
But we do live opposite a river... lots of shallow areas to poke about in... nice to walk across the road and have a picnic down the river.
