Having been around the block a time or two with regards to swinging, I'm of the opinion that real "orgies" are very few and far between. The closest we have come to it are at clubs, usually in the couples rooms, or at parties, if you have been lucky enough to bump into people you already know and are comfortable with. The vision of a writhing mass of bodies, with people swapping from person to person almost seamlessly is a bit of a 'nilla myth, the sensible requirement to use protection, and the fact that, despite what non-swingers might think, swingers dont just shag the next available body, even in a group setting, tends to mean theres more chat and sitting back, than shagging lol.

HI,
whilst I agree with you entirely regarding the attitude and behaviour of the majority of swingers, who I've always found to be the most genuine and, at most times, sexually cautious and responsible people around, it doesn't apply to all.
As we, as swingers, will not all share the same religious, political or social beliefs then there will be a huge diversity of sexual attitudes.

Within our ranks, I believe the majority will have a broadly similar attitude towards an orgy as you. (y)
However, there will also be a sizeable minority who enjoy the "edgier" side of the scene. ?
There are those, for example, who just love some, or all, aspects of BDSM :Ohyessir:
There are ladies out there who enjoy a gangbang or the excitement of a Gloryhole. :boobies:
There are those that live for Dogging (or certain other outdoor activities) :sheep_shagger:
And I'm sure that, out there somewhere, there are those that are thrilled by the idea of being involved in an orgy. :flutter:

BTW, I never suggested the kind of orgy one might see on a porn site.
My "idea" never got off the ground but my hope was that once people had shown an interest we could spend time getting to know each other and establishing the behaviour, attitude, and boundaries that everyone would have been comfortable with.

It could probably have been better described as a friendly gathering of like-minded, sexually liberated friends who would enjoy meeting for a glass of wine, some nice food, and getting naked and having sexy fun. :love:
As I mentioned in my original post I know I could visit my local club and have an experience akin to a "porn" orgy but that was never what I wanted.

Anyway, I think that everyone can sleep safely without the fear of being dragged from their beds and forced to indulge in acts of perversion and utter depravity in the midst of an orgy Caligula would be proud of as, despite my belief that in the world of swinging there are those that would jump at the chance of being involved, they don't seem to frequent this site. :(

I have had one person show interest, but he, like me, is a straight guy and I don't think an orgy consisting of two heterosexual males would be what we're looking for. ?

If you ever find some 20 year old girls that would like to drag me from my bed and force me to indulge in acts of perversion and utter depravity in the midst of an orgy Caligula would be pround of, I would be interested.

On a side note, did you know that Caligula was not his name, it was a nicknane that was given to him as a child and he hated the name. For some reason, the nick name stuck in history and not his real name.

No worries buddy, as soon as my inbox is flooded with eager ladies wishing to partake in sickening acts of utter sexual perversion you will be the first male I think of ;)

As for Caligula, yes I am aware that his actual name is Gaius Caesar Augustus Germanicus (what a great name and someone that would definitely get an invite to any orgy I organised ? And you're right Caligula was a nickname he had from being a child when he used to parade around in his "Caligula" which is Latin for "little boots". I suppose I can see why, as the errr... "fun-loving" most powerful guy in the world, he wasn't too keen on being called "little boots" ? (kinda spoiled his image ?)
The reason I know quite a bit about him is that I've always felt a kind of affinity with him.
I suppose it's because we share the same sense of fun and my birthday is on the same day as his (31st August) (y)
