It’s is once again, a difficult question to answer. How you see yourself, and how you are viewed by others can be very different.
I have been told that I’m a very sexy man, and occasionally I will look in the mirror and think, “yes, not bad”. Other times I think to myself “why bother”. Who’s going to want to play with you.
I do get a lot of attention grown women entering Specsavers ??

If you love someone that feeling never goes away no matter what in my experience. I still have love for old girlfriends and boyfriends even though we split up years ago and it does not take away from the way I feel about my beautiful wife. Things only go 'stale' as you put it if you let it by ignoring the feelings of the ones closest to you.

Like I said surely it goes stale I don't mean not shagging every day i mean going weeks without it and not feeling you want to fuck their brains out

What a strange idea. Might want to strangle them sometimes (figurativly speaking of course?) but not fancy them at all just means they are definitely not for you. So your life long partner question isn't even really relevant.
