I tend to use them as paper weights but I have heard that they can be used for such things

To be honest ... I think @2ofus would be more likely to be the 'other grandparents' ... you know, the miserable grumpy grandad, who sits and ignores everyone, but is married to everyones favourite nan, who lets all the children get away with whatever they want, joins in their games, and leads them astray when they're bored!
