Knowledge is a dangerous thing. We mostly all know this. So would you say times have changed?
For instance, my dear old FIL (father in law) bless him, he knew more than I will, I think. But knowledge is wisdom.
We're talking every day knowledge as well as professional.
But then - more prudent now than ever, with Wiki (edited by anyone!!) and Google/search engine references, knowledge is being lost but at the same time easily ascertained.

What happened to learning skills?
Nowadays, anyone with a fekin keyboard has "knowledge" about everything.
We now have more scientists and epidemiologists than ever. ?

I have skills and more knowledge than most people care to hear and there must still be people learning the essentials like science, engineering and building or society would have fallen apart already. I know lots of plasterers, chippies and brickies as well as musicians and artists so I don't think the world will fall apart because of feckless youth quite yet.

It just starts to feel that way the older you get grandad
