Well it was announced yesterday that Chris Evans , who we're a great fan of esp on R2, was to be the the host of Top Gear!

Good for him!! He's a clever guy and I like his charm..
Added to that, he's a multi millionaire, and is very keen on buying classic cars as well as high performance sports cars.
It's known he is a nut for his cars! So perfect for the job...

We've listened attentively to Chris this morning, as he made a 3-4 minute speech about it.
I was impressed when he said he initially refused, as he didn't want to be a pawn;

"I categorically ruled myself out of running - I didn't want to be a pawn in a chess game involving three of my friends," ..

So I say, good on him, good luck and if you're a Top Gear fan and a fan of Chris Evans, then I am sure it will be a superb show with Chris at the helm!

I never liked J C he is a complete cock so hence never watched the show, maybe it will be more exciting now.

True, I kinda liked him, but he was bit of a cock too... A bit too up his own arse.
But this may see some exciting changes coming!

well can you imagine the uproar if they didn't! Sexists!!! Jodie Kidd would be good. She's nuts about cars and has already been a car show presenter yummmmmmmm :D

As top gear fan I am sorry to see jc go but so long as Chris doesn't get rid of those excellent challenges like 1500 quid on a car and do stupid stuff like that I don't mind at all but u all so need the same interaction as them 3 use to have I love Chris on R2 so good luck to him

Indeed, he's good fun on R2, let's hope he keeps the real fun of TG up. I will miss the mad shit they did like caravan racing, blowing stuff up, and even car boats!
Top gear The race to Milan being my favourite they did! (y)

For me topgear only works with the orginal cast... Putting in other faces isn't the same. Are they not going to make a new show?
