What Do You Think Your Username Says About You?

When I first thought of Baldrick I thought it showed I was fun and up for a laugh.

Now I'm beginning to think people might percieve I don't bath, have bad teeth and I smell of mouldy turnip.

How do you think other people perceive your username? Would you change it?

When i was deciding i had one or too louise is one of my names but the was fruitloop so i think i choose wisely x

Well have to say it wasn’t you that caught my eye at first but I do believe you once posted a picture of you in the bath .... your yearly one whether you needed it or not ..

Mine has a meaning and no its not the fish.

What others think is of course up to them, if they like it good, if they don't tough. I did think about the name, it wasn't just something cobbled together on the day. Your name can make or break your chances, lets face it MrBigDick isn't going to win many fans.


Would I change mine? No. I did actually join under another username then spent a while thinking about the name I have now

I remember you said once that your username was initials and date of birth. Did I read the other day that your thinking about changing it?

I have thought about changing it but haven’t come up with anything..I did think “magicmike” but that’s been done and I look nothing like himAll suggestions welcome ...

I’m not sure if I ever told the story here of where ‘fincon’ comes from.

Long story short-ish: WAY before I entered the scene, I had a job as a financial controller. Our email at work went down, and IT department had no idea how long it was going to be down for; the advice was to set up a temporary email account for urgent stuff. I did so on yahoo (shows how long ago that it wasn’t using gmail (!) ) and set up a financial controller one, hence fincon. As it turned out, almost immediately the email at work was sorted out… and then, when I entered the scene, I remembered I had this anonymous email account available. Hence fincon username.

I’ve genuinely no idea what people think when they see the name. Only once has it backfired, when I got booted from a site, after someone reported me because they assumed it was a conman’s account. Other than that, never been an issue.
