Having just read a thread clarifying two step to link with FB, twitter, not wanting to 'out yourself' by accident.... So.... Who knows? .. who do you choose to share SS and your swinging lifestyle with?
Does it form a part of real life for you or is it something private?
If you have chosen to share with friends/family was there a reaction, reprocussions?!
If you don't share, why not, what stops you?!

A few of my vanilla friends know I like to get involved in the lifestyle. But to be honest they're not surprised as they already knew I was horny bastard lol.
Now though I've made a few friends through this lifestyle and now we could easily be vanilla friends also.
I don't see it as anything different to not telling others about some of the other normal things I do. I have friends who don't know I'm a biker. Some don't know I go to Spurs matches.
If the topic comes up, I won't lie if asked but I'm not afraid to say if they do.

For you, would it affect your work life for instance? I'm aware that for some professions a swinging lifestyle is a minefield and can cause issues!

We are in a similar position.... I nearly told a close friend... The subject got danced around..... The conversation got ended by them saying they know I'm a kinky bitch and that's enough!!! Told me!!

To be fair our female friends would probably want all the juicy gossip and be curious.
Our male friends would rip the piss all night and I'd never hear the end of it.
The family would disown us (so there's one positive ).

I’m not sure I’d want to out it accidentally on Facebook, but my close girlfriends know... They love hearing some of our saucy stories.. We’ve bumped into a few aquatints in local clubs which has been quite amusing for us more than them, especially as one wasn’t with his wife!!

I have 3 sisters...1 of who knows pretty much everything, and the other 2 know i went to a club last year. I wouldnt dream of telling anyone else...they would be too judgemental xx

we have some friends of ours ghat know and they came to a club with us also. someone at work knows as they saw our profile on another site and we came across friends of ours that we have know 20 yrs on a site also so we keep each others secret about being swingers.
god forbid if family found out they would disown us.

God forbid that anyone found out at work as i would be unemployed real fast. As for family mine would disown me and Mrs B's we would not know as we have nothing to do with them. Given that we live so far away from my family and work i doubt anyone will ever find out

When we have thought about this we have had similar thoughts..... Crazy isn't it... We fear our family and friends would judge us and they are not aware of this facet of our lives. Yet, we feel safe enough (probably because we have all made a choice to be here and @Admin & @Pearls have created this genuine space) to share within these walls our fantasies, our bodies and our minds to strangers.... Because we don't think they will judge!!!

as for Ds feck where to start with that one is about conversation I definitely can't have with family .... few friends know of my part in that lifestyle some shocked some horrified and only 1 wanted to know the gory details

As for work .... jeeez it wouldn't sit with any of the employers I've had ....especially the church charities

I started out in the lifestyle really discreetly as it was behind my then husbands back. Then for safety I opened up to close friends. Then one night at a club I bumped into a friend of my parents... so then I opened up to them and they told me they dabbled
Then my husband found out. My work colleagues knew. It wasn’t that traumatic and now I’m out and pretty much everyone knows. However I wouldn’t want my 11 year old knowing until she is much much older.

The downside is though- a lot of swingers are suspicious and link being out with being indiscreet.

Only Dan and I know. This part of our lives is a total secret as I wouldn't want the kids or our families to find out - Dan's family hate me and so would say I'm forcing him into this and my family would be totally disappointed in us but the kids probably wouldn't care, but my boss would probably love the fact and ask all sorts of questions lol x

Hi, well my son and daughter know of my lifestyle. They don’t mention it, but say as long as I’m happy they are ok wit it.

Personally we would prefer not to know if family are swingers
Recently one of our dad's mentioned going with the swing of things but quickly changed it if he's actually a swinger we would prefer not to know
