Never tried Goose.We always have dinner at home with family, our eldest will be here for a couple of weeks so its great to have all of us together once a year, we have a huge turkey and goose, all the trimmings, we usually start drinking the champagne by 9am and finish about midnight, best day of the year

A selection of cheeses and home made bread
Main
Roast Turkey or, Roast Duck
Braised red and savoy cabbage (the green and red is so Christmasy)
Brussels sprouts
Roast potatoes
Boiled new potatoes
Stuffing two types
Home made sausage and fresh vegetable stuffing/meat loaf
Roast carrots
Roast parsnips
Home made gravy (Christmas is the time for bisto)
Piggies in blankets
Pudding
Christmas pudding and custard or,
Trifle
And all munched down with plenty of mulled apple juice.
