So any of you romantics have anything planned this evening? :sneaky:
Or are you so romantic that every day is for sharing the love
Or is it a load of crap :D

Personally I think it is a pile of crap and we don't do it, we have romance in our hearts all the time and don't need a day for that. We tell each other we love each other lots of times a day always share the love so need a day for sending silly cards and fluffy cheep Teddy's or over priced flowers i think not :)

People always say it’s so crap being single on Valentines Day - couldn’t agree less.
I feel sorry for the couples who feel obliged to ‘show’ their partner how much they love them in some frenzied spend-fest of a competition.

I’m better off out of that shit

Women don't tend to see it like that though, maybe men should be more romantic every day. @Admin is but I am very lucky, flowers and gifts shouldn't be for one day but at least you can make something special today, ladies love a bit of fuss ;)

I’m pretty sure some do.
Sitting in an office chatting about what their other half did for them - the girls always wants to boast of the grandest gesture, and the male who made the least effort will have that come back to haunt him one day.
He won’t know when and he won’t know why, but he’ll get his:eek:

We find it to be Crap. If someone needs to Prompt you to do something for your Partner, maybe you shouldn't have one. We leave each other notes and little things almost daily, send a sexy pic or ten(lol), give a card just because, etc. So today is just an excuse for me to get her some nice flowers or something to put on her desk in her office..

It's not the grand gesture, it's that small but important thing of being there for each other, sometimes we forget and take things for granted...

Wow what a bunch you lot are - I am 200mile from my beloved but she has had a few gifts today and a special one just now as i decided that since we have to be apart i have put a wodge of dosh in her account so she can spend Friday shopping and getting her hair done and such like then we are going to her fave eatery for a slap up meal and get legless and dance our legs off. A little oil makes the wheels turn smoother i find so make an effort Guys & Girls

A ‘wodge of dosh’ eh - the key ingredient to any successful relationship.
Good luck to those whose dosh doesn’t come in wodges

Ah.. well, for me personally - whilst I agree with not overspending and the commercialisation of it (which some is OTT let's be honest) I also find that it's a day where you can do that little bit more and really show the person you love, just how much you do love them and appreciate them for who they are and being your loved one.

Like many others here, we're very romantic anyway with each other. We often write notes to each other, I buy flowers as often as I can and gifts here and there. Hell we even message each other on the site!
But Valentine's Day is the chance for me to do more than what I would on any other given day or time and show my wife how much I really love her and how much she means to me.
Do I buy a card? Absolutely I do. Do I buy flowers and a gift? Yes. Do I go overboard with it? No.

There's no need for me to do that, but what I do is (for a change LOL!) cook, fuss, run a bath with oils and scents, wait on her hand and foot.. and really make a very special fuss over her.
Why not? It's the day of love after all and I am a romantic person.
As mentioned, you don't need to buy things to show someone you love them, or you don't need to do this/that/the other when you can do it any day you choose... true...
But today is a day of love and a day where you can go that extra mile for your loved one..
I'll gladly accept today for what it is. I believe in being as romantic and loving as you can be towards the person you're sharing your life with and today is the perfect way to show her/him just how important they are to you and how much you love them, out of any other 'ordinary' day. :)

Bring it on I say!
L'amour
