Christmas lights. I love them. Seeing all the houses lit up.
Taking the kids to see Santa is my all time favourite thing. I make a big event out of it every year. We've been down caves, coal mines, train rides, theme parks, sleigh rides, magical illuminated woodland walks. Sadly only a few more years of it left so I've got to make the most of it.

As I’m Jewish, Christmas was never A Thing, growing up, for obvious reasons. (And no, Chanukah really is not ‘The Jewish Christmas’; genuinely, never ever say that to a Jewish person.)

And so, while I never actively liked Christmas, I never actively disliked Christmas either. It was just something that happened around me. Later in life, I became a bit ‘me? I drink at the Bar Humbug’. I got irritated at the usual stuff people get annoyed at, without the benefit of the ‘good stuff’.

THEN I became friends with two people who really like Christmas, no, really. Not religious at all, they just love the whole thing, and do the whole tree/wreath on the door/fairy lights around the tree and the room… the big get together on Christmas and Boxing Days. And since I have little family left, they invited me

And I loved it. Didn’t expect to, but I did. I enjoyed the merryness, the kids getting excited, everything.

Well, I’m still a bit wary at the big Christmas dinner, lasting for ages, twenty people around a table… but other than that.

Honestly I love the day it's self that big rich delicious meal with friends and family, but my favourite thing about Christmas is the quite and calm when everyone's gone home again and your left lounged on the sofa watching some shitty kids film.

My most favourite thing about Christmas is
1- Hoping to see Father Christmas ( I try every year and only seen him once)
2- Christmas Eve (magical)
3- Snow on Christmas day (would be nice)
4- Going to church (yes I do)
5- Trying to work out the jingle bells on the SS decorations.. ( I will get a tune this year) :D

I enjoy the quality time spent with family. Lights and Christmas trees are great too.

I like a drink but in previous years, I've gone mad at Christmas and just ended up disgustingly sick for 2-3 weeks. Last year I toned it down on the booze around Christmas and avoided getting the plague.

I agree with Nigel, I hate the commercialism and try to avoid it as much as possible.
