Dirty buggers.. xAs far as we are aware we're open to all! S x
It makes you wonder if they join but are scared of being recognised. Which screams to me that they have something to hide possibly. Each to their own, if they want privacy that is their decision but then they also loose out if people can't see them as some won't interact with them. Hopefully they will change their mind once they get to know the site.
The 3 day rule. Users have 3 days to verify.I thought e had a no avatar you're out of here rule (or is that after 3-days)
you'd have to question motive or doing that
sounds suspicious
Yes that account has actually restricted their account rather than just not validated their email address etc. There's a profile that joined early hours, no avatar that you can see the profile, the next profile which joined between 0200 and 12pm has no avatar and restricted their profile. It does seem a little suspicious.
This is it, hopefully it will make people aware and think of things. Changing their attitudes most definitely. Each to their own, if they want privacy that is their decision but then they also loose out if people can't see them as some won't interact with them. Hopefully they will change their mind once they get to know the site.
I do tend to agree on the whole. However as I said, they could also have legitimate reasons too.It makes you wonder if they join but are scared of being recognised. Which screams to me that they have something to hide possibly.
Does it make it right that people can do this and hide yet snoop on others? No. But we also have to offer a level of privacy too.
Unfortunately that would be impossible to do. The easiest and best (simplistic) way to handle this is - if member A has a hidden account and views your account constantly and continuously but they refuse to amend their account, then blocking is the answer. It's really as simple as that.Yeah I get the privacy bit.
As it stands I would have to block that person in total (difficult as I can't even see their name) but I see no need to do that, yet, but it would be good to be able to restrict individual members (still see posts on the forums) rather than only people I don't follow or all singles for instance, from my profile without blocking completely.
Only once they themselves have done their three photos AND a PV.Can people view other people's photos in that 3 days grace and download to their hearts content?
One thing for ourselves for example, we allow people to view our account but only allow people who we follow to; view our photos plus send us PM's.. That way we are in control over who sees what and who can contact us.before I ask this I just want to make sure everyone understands why I'm asking this
It's not a dig in any way and it's not to start any heated discussions I'm just curious, and would be nice to be able to interact will all on site.
Now I know this has been asked before but I'm hoping the newbies will chip in one this!
Why do people restrict the viewing of their profile? I do understand on other sites it's a must due to being hounded by not wanted people but I think I can safely speak for all when I say this is a one of a kind site that isn't like any other
Or is it that some people don't realise they have selected this setting?
What are your thoughts..........?
Going through my followers list yeterday, quite a few had restricted accounts. I just unfollowed xDo many still restrict their accounts?
Quite a few lately.
Hmm well that is a shame. Nevertheless, education is key to helping members understand that there's not necessarily a need to do it on here. (as of yet anyway lol) xGoing through my followers list yeterday, quite a few had restricted accounts. I just unfollowed x
Makes it so difficult to interact, especially when they only respond to a select few. There is a word that springs to mind lately.Hmm well that is a shame. Nevertheless, education is key to helping members understand that there's not necessarily a need to do it on here. (as of yet anyway lol) x
Yes that will be problematic alright. But again it comes down to us collectively in having the right approach, to show others that this is not the same as other sites.Makes it so difficult to interact, especially when they only respond to a select few.
Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately I don't think I'm one who can.Yes that will be problematic alright. But again it comes down to us collectively in having the right approach, to show others that this is not the same as other sites.
