TBH I dont understand them at all, well not true, I understand their fear, fear of a world where we are ruining the only planet we have, Other than that, nope! theres been loads of protests and marches that have raised awareness and got the attention of those in power and the media and done it in a way that didnt alienate everyone else. There was lots of ways they could have got the message across butI have zero sympathy for them, ultumately they have damaged their cause, which is tragic because even those of us who disagree with what they have done share the same need for a planet that can support life.I understand the motives but not at the cost of lives. A father dying alone at hospital because his children couldn’t get through the blockade. They didn’t get there in time.
ER gave an apology but said they would carry on as the cause is too important. I feel it will attract more hate.
We can all do our bit but I don’t see them doing a lot to change their own carbon footprint. They should be doing this to help others not harm.
I used to think what they are doing is a good thing but not any more sadly. They are now more about making money than saving the planet
