Lets see what @Admin thinks x

That's not what I said mouse..Asking people to PV before they get an idea of what the site is about is likely to put some off, so the idea of giving them limited access is great as it gives them time to look around and make an informed judgement. As @Pearls says it's not if we give them limited access it's about getting the balance right
Let them bop.. But give us the option to allow them to bop on our page..I know and I see it, I've got a few right now, not even looked at the links they've been given and are bopping about profiles, we do need to have a think x

I asked for more privacy options.. I really am the last person to block newbies as I am responsible for bringing lots of them here... I just want more control over whom I allow to look at me

No.. I think newbies need the freedom..More privacy or reduce new members access until PV'd? Adding more privacy just adds another level of security that members will need to be responsible for and I assume not all members have issues with newbies. I was trying to say it might be easier to limit what newbies can do/see rather change the systems privacy rules. I honestly do not know how difficult amending the coding for these options is. Ok I'm off to clean my whiskers

Now you know it's not like me to interefere in your website design but.......I think it's not a good idea to have member avatars on a pre-login screen without asking them first boss.
Some people might have rather more revealing avatars that they might not want to be recognisable to the public on pre-login.
I don't want to be a nay-sayer but some folk might not like it. For example our pic
would be easy to recognise for our porn curious 17 year old boy as it is on our coffee table.

Now that IS odd, as I said - avatars are restricted to all guests and they will only see a "?" in place? So to try and duplicate this, I have done it again and I know others too have agreed that they're showing etc - but I can't duplicate that issue - am very sorry...Phew *wipes brow*.
I noticed our avatar on the homepage earlier after I logged out but as you say, it has gone now.

Did you refresh after logging out afterwards? I cannot duplicate it, and I have always (from day one) made sure that avatars are not publicly viewable..

I've removed it again now, but I didn't actually change anything? I made the page, added what code needed adding, then removed it.This issue only happened the day you were tinkering and you corrected it a while later

Yeah the slider was to show real people and members from here doing their thing, but only managed to get a handful of images really.. Which I completely (totally) understand.I like that... It works for members.. But... You are right.. It won't attract newbies...
To do this you need a shop window.. Is it complicated to have the same thing but without faces to attract newbies... Like a fake version.. Not one that actually shows members on line but an enticement.. They won't know its fake until they sign up and become pv...
It would replace the single photo option... As that is too repetitive..

So I will sit back, have a think on what you're saying above and see what I can come up with. I agree with you to an extent but also have a worry - I myself am dubious of other sites when it says for example; "Joanne from Cardiff is horny now, register today and message her " etc with fake images... know what I mean? But I will have a think about this and see what I can do and come up with.
I totally agree that this is very difficult to do and put out there, without giving too much about members away. xx

Yes completely agreed, we all (all of us) started out somewhere.. xI need to say here for a start i think @Admin and all the staff members do a great job in keeping us all safe and secure as they possibly can. Yes we have had newbies that have not PV'd and have followed us or messaged some we ignore and one or two i have given a chance to. We all need to remember how it felt being new to the site and finding our way so no i try and help newbies that message as much as i can and show them the way a bit. I did this last week ok i took an hour out from what i was going to do and tried to help someone new to the site that had questions and needed to know a few things. Ok i cannot say much here as i don't tell people personal details from another persons pm or chat message but at least they did take some things on board.

We do and we’re trying to do just that.
Doesn’t help us when faced with specific types of content from specific areas which can and does have an effect on the overall atmosphere on the site. X
