People with nothing written in profile

We always add a description and whatever is appropriate to whatever site we join because online is not like real life, you can't get a 'feel' for someone when they are just words on a screen in the same way you can when meeting them in person. Doesn't mean everybody has to write them but I personally find blank profiles on any kind of forum based site a little more off putting than one's where someone has taken time and put thought into them. ?

The profiles are a shop window... sell yourselves to potential playmates/friends or get left on the shelf ...

That's the whole point of having a profile... well just our view anyway

I think it depends on how you're using the site aswell though.By interracting and reading the forums, I can already get a sense of people,without looking at a profile.I've looked at maybe 5 profiles properly since joining(clicking the name instead of the notification doesn't count).And tbh there's nothing in their profiles that i haven't found out by reading their forum posts.But if they don't use the forums then i'd expect a couple of bits of information.Unless they're really really hot x
