From my experience seeing it with people I know, it entirely depends on the people, and whether the couple were previously in a poly three.

I think if you have the right dynamic between all involved it must be absolutely idyllic. 
Unfortunately, I'm divorced but I can truthfully say that in my personal experience when I was married I found it wonderful knowing that whatever life threw at me I had someone that loved me, supported me, wanted the best for me and would do anything they could to make my life better. so imagine that feeling times 2, or 3, or 4, or more.
Then, of course, there are all the sexual permutations :mwah:

Well just to share and also to bump an old thread , we have found ourselves bringing a permanent part time third person into our lives. And it is absolutely perfect, no stress, everyone is on the same page r.e. what we all want and the rules of engagement. So to all you out there considering, try it you might like it. Xx G
