Bit nervous about posting this due to the response I have had in the past,

Should Scotland and Northern Ireland be allowed to stay in Europe when Brexit finally rolls round?
(would have included Wales in that but as a whole you voted out p.s love the Welsh.x) (p.p.s love the English as well, I have a lot of love to give.xx)
We have Devolution and our own Parliaments so why should we be enforced to roll with something as a nation we did not vote for?
please don't get me wrong I am very proud to be a member of the United Kingdom but also very proud to be a member of the European Union but if push came to shove and there was a vote tomorrow I think I would vote to stay in Europe just because May and the British government are pissing me off so much just now.

over to you, your thought? If in England are you pissed there even could be a choice for us? If you voted out do you still think it was the right choice? If Welsh would you prefer to be in Scotland's position? Northern Ireland do you think it would be easier with the Irish border if you were both to stay in Europe?

please be nice.x

Look I'm not into politics what so ever and don't understand really the ins and outs, I see us all as British and as a country we should be one, at the end of the day if we went to war tomorrow with another country then I would like to think we would stand together as a nation. x

Whether they should be aloud to stay in the EU or not is immaterial, since the UK is the member not is component nations.

That is why we would like to be allowed to have discussions to see the if it is possible for us to join in our own right but being blocked, why?

OK let's get this off the ground First off its not a matter of being allowed cos the EU don't want Scotland without England cos Scotland only take out and pay nothing in. Second Wales is not a country its a principality so it has to do what England decides. Men personally given the the Scots only voted to be part of the UK a short time ago then they should shut Jimmy Kranky up and work harder to be good Brits.

If Scotland takes back all its fishing rights then we would have plenty to put in not to mention the north sea oil rights that would come with full devolution. the vote was 45% out 55% in. if the vote was to be taken again i am thinking it would be a different story. so nice to have you in the discussion Bolton.xx

Oh my..... where did you get that from?
Indeed, Wales was a principality, once upon a time. Try wayyyy back in 1542. 472 years ago…

Wales is a country, a beautiful one too as you know.
We are a nation. We have our own laws. We have a Government, a legislature.
You could come back with; "Ahh but Prince Charles... Prince of Wales" et al.
but he (as much as I like Charlie boy) has no actual constitutional rights over Wales. Designated by the Queen he is and it's purely Traditional and for pomp and circumstance.

Come on Max you cant have your full fishing rights as that will still belong to the EU so that will be worth about £5 to you if they give you any quota at all. As for the Oil well of course you will not own it its owned by the oil companies but they might once again give you maybe £10 for that. Now what about the £6 Billion + you get form the EU. The EU will view Scotland like I would look at a shitty stick and that's why you have to follow us. Now be a good country and remember your supposed to be a democratic country so no matter what the vote it was a stay in the Uk party. Of course you say if we voted again it would be reversed but then using that way of thinking if I keep asking Myleen Klass for a shag 1 day I might just get lucky

ok then, if as you say our oil and fishing rights are worth nothing (you are so very wrong on this) our tourism pulls in about twice as much as England and as for the E.U not wanting us in! Are you just making it up a you type? If Scotland has full devolution Europe are happy to welcome us. Are you getting your information from the mail or the sun?

P.s please do not involve any English superiority complex's we are as it stands part of the United Kingdom and as I have stated I am proud of that but to come out with quotes such as "follow us" and to refer to my home country as a "shity stick" are just a wee bit offensive.

  1. Well what can I say. The matter of principality is in doubt so we will beg to differ. Having never been to Wales in my life I can only guess what it is like. The problem I have always had with the place is the mad copper who wanted to send everyone found speeding 100 miles from the nearest person to prison for life.

Don't get me wrong I rather like huge parts of Scotland and indeed lived and worked for a few years. But maybe its not a shitty stick as far as the EU view it but trust me the only way the EU would allow you in would be to try to piss England off

Incorrect so no need to beg to differ.

A principality is a nation state where the head of state is a prince or princess. Our head of state is the Queen just as yours is.
So England therefore must be a principality too in this case?
:)

Nevertheless, let's keep it clean and try to avoid anything offensive.

Now this I do agree with. They would do it just to annoy the hell out of England... Knowing how the EU are, a bunch of unelected bureaucrats and fat cats.. they'd try and do one over England and cause an even greater rift between member states of the United Kingdom, than there already is. Agreed.

Scotland and the E.U have been in talks about being a solo member since the first referendum vote. Long before any brexit.
On average each person in Scotland pays £800 more in tax than the rest of the u.k total of 53 bl per year.
So that would save us a pound or two to put into the E.U.

Scotland originally asked for a union with England because it was bankrupt. If it ever did achieve independence, it would be bankrupt again pretty soon, despite fish, whisky and oil. England would stop the Barnett formula that subsidises Scotland, begin ship building again, move our submarines to Devonport and create a new oil port in somewhere like Hull or Newcastle instead of using Aberdeen (don't forget England has a lot of the North Sea oilfields). Dr Johnson once said "the fairest prospect a Scotsman sees is the broad highway leading to England" but that highway would no longer be open. We're better together, for example Britain couldn't have beaten Napoleon or colonised Canada without the Scots. Lovely country with friendly, hospitable people, who surely have more in common with the English, Northern Irish and Welsh than with the Belgians, Lithuanians, Greeks, etc.

Should Scotland stay a part of the EU I would lay good money on that given 10 years of being fleeced out of everything (as the UK has been) and flooded to overflowing with all sorts they will be asking can we rejoin the UK. I would personally vote yes but I think a lot of others would take real offence and vote no and that would be a real shame.
