It’s not the ‘socials‘ we are talking about really is it?!! The rule of 6 means three couples or a combination of bods ‘could’ meet for a bev or nibbles .... socially distanced ... but frankly the 2m rule scuppers part 2 of a social ... unless of course anyone’s got one that’s in the Guinness Book of Records. ? ?

Although I have been working on the maths, if J is bent over from her head to her rear! Is about 1m so as long you are over 5ft 8” tall then your mouths should be around 2m or at least 1m+ apart. But don’t know if this clarifies as socially distanced.
(Admin I have spent the evening watching Spitting image and this is tongue in cheek!!)

Sorry not being negative, but think about STD’s and how we stop them transferring so we may need some sort of Jab or certification to say we are vaccinated before we play!!
it wasnt not negative its true but by normal i meant able to leave the house and meet people outside of bubbles, i mean i think theres going to be alot of changes for example i can see more workplaces offering working from home as an option for jobs that are mainly officebased and i do think there will be change in how we interact aswell but honestly i dont see us being able to go out safely atleast in this country till after june/july

I do believe all the media hype hasn’t helped the situation,it’s made people apprehensive of what the future holds ,as for swinging will it become small cliques just maintaining a bubble ,not allowing anyone in ... not sure under present restrictions if any club will function again, will local authorities allow them ?
The spontaneity of meeting for example in a club will you play with anyone you have just met ?
What will you need a tattoo on your forehead saying “CovidFree” ....
What happens when the next new virus comes along .... ?

Not sure about all of that. For instance here in Swansea we’re in a full lockdown with massive spikes and an increase in virus spread. Agreed the media doesn’t help, but there is an element in some of it. FUBAR is what I’d say tbh mate. Where the future lies? Who knows. It’s definitely gonna be tricky.

June/July I think that’s being optimistic, the way things are going!

As we’ve seen so far restrictions are lifted the public go out and get drunk and socialise the R rate spikes & we are put into restrictions again!

That’s going to be the way it is for the foreseeable future at least that’s the way I see it until there is a vaccine available.
