Starter a nice crab scotch egg with a cucumber and dill dressing
Main crispy belly pork with roasted onion, a sage and pigs cheek mash, braised baby gem ,peas and bacon with apple creme fresh and crackling
Dessert granny smiths tart_tartin with wensleydale ice_cream

Baked Alaska is ice cream covered in meringue and baked, we have it with flaming sambuca poured over it mmmm
Cointreau is an orange liqueur
So so lush :love:

The pigs cheeks are braised in white wine then reduced and set with gelitine to form a base in which the potatoes can be mashed without the usual butter added lots of flavour

I had Goats cheese with beetroot in a restaurant recently.. really good combination XXX
Beetroot is one of my very few food dislikes. I always think it looks amazing and I keep trying it to see if I've changed my mind but I can't get on with it.x

OK although I am a decent cook I let Stephen sort all that out as he was a chef thingy..
So if I am doing it...
Starter.... Dippy things and probably white wine..
Main... Less dippy but still finger stuff... Red wine time
Pud.... Creamy stuff... Prosecco
Coffee... With shots..

Actually that is pretty much a normal night..

Soup from a tin
But I can do a decent Roast Beef with Veg, Potatoes and Gravy
Partial to Peaches and Double Cream myself to end it again out of a tin - oh and they have to be in syrup)
Love the tip-top cream on tinned peaches x
