As it states in our profile we both are indeed bisexual. We're now in a relationship. Happily so too!
We went out a few weekends ago to a couple of clubs, and now we're in a relationship, somehow our sexuality has changed and we're now labelled by others as lesbians?!
Was quite ammusing really. How peoples perceptions of us both have now suddenly changed, yet we're both exactly as we were?!
Had either of us taken a man with us we'd still have been bisexual, nobody would've suddenly assumed we were straight?!
Has anybody else experienced this?
Do others on here who classify themselves as bi, do so just in play or would they in reality have a same sex relationship?

Now that is one serious question...
And I will admit, I thought the same as you are together - of course not knowing you or anything.. I naturally assumed the same..:oops: Sorry ladies.. feel free to slap me.!
But then on the flip side of that coin, as being a female couple, are you now NOT lesbian? :p

I have seen so many 'straight' men in the scene and here, "Nope I am totally straight" - yet quite happily will have fun with friendly fire.. or bi-curious.. or bi-friendly?

Aren't all men straight and all ladies bi in the lifestyle? :D
I think a lot would play bi but be in a straight relationship..

Difficult for me to comment really, as we both know the pair of you. You see this is the problem, people see a female couple, and assume. This is why the social aspect of swinging, I feel is so important! You get to know the real person, and not just their online, persona.. You see two ladies who are obviously a couple in a club, and then again assume. Having socialised with you both.. It's clear you are bi-sexual. You are flirty and clearly interested in men(lucky Mr F)
Did cross our minds though, that he'd had the misfortune to turn at least one of you into a lesbian :(
:D xx

No need to apologise @Admin .
I can honestly say i've been guilty of making the exact same assumption in the past.

I FLC don't class myself as lesbian.
If i were in a relationship with a man i'd still be viewed and classed as bisexual by others. And also by myself too. So although i'm now with a woman, I've not changed. Just i share a bed at night with a lady.

I've always said I was gender impartial. Its more about the who than the what for me.
It doesn't really enter my head the fact that D is female, we connect, it's about how i feel when we're together. Knowing that i have her.

I could waffle on, but i won't!! lol

Yeah I think it's an honest, non-malicious assumption really... @D7andFLC
Just as if most people saw two men together as a couple, your first and natural thought would be 'they're gay' even if you did think about someone's sexuality I suppose.

But yeah I think it would be a fair and normal assumption to make and I don't think it's incorrect thought patterns either.
For instance - no one would look at me and think; wow that guy likes pegging.. Would they?
How does anyone know what anyone else's sexual flavours or gender description is? Make sense?
You wouldn't think by looking at someone - ooh they're pansexual.

So it can easily be done. But that said, when you get to know the person(s) as in this case, and then to dismiss the sexuality (dismiss the right word?!) then yeah I would be a tad miffed at that..
As I recently discovered about someone - it's like naming a TGirl by their male name. Just not right nor correct especially if you know the people.

I do believe though that a lot of people will enjoy themselves in bi-friendly or friendly fire fun. It happens....
As for @meet_the_fockers aww Pinky Sparkly is all good!! You love it really.. come on now, don't be shy... :p xx

I see how people can percieve you to be gay now that you are in a relationship with a lady, Im a lesbian and my partner is bi so people do assume she is now a lesbian but its not the case, Leather has had relationships in the past with men and is happy to be in a threesome with a man, people are to quick sometimes to judge without knowing a person, Its a lot easier for me tbh xx

I also think we're in an era now where it is perfectly acceptable to explore and accept your sexuality.
For instance, 10-15 years ago, it was still very... not taboo, but some shame came with it I guess? Whereas now, things are a lot different. The psychology behind it is different.
People are now more accepting of people exploring their sexuality - especially men!

The stiff British Upper Lip and prudishness still very much exists, but bisexual and gay/lesbian etc has been around since the dawn of man, but nowadays we seem to be reaching an era where it is far more accepting in society.

For instance, I was at a friends party not so long back and there was a good crowd of us, all had a fantastic time.. And after a few drinks, I personally said something about this subject but about myself, and I couldn't believe the response. All in a good way...
So yeah I'd say attitudes and times are changing.

I also still agree though that for anyone to see a female/male couple together you would automatically assume - rightly or wrongly, that they are a gay/lesbian couple...

As I said, I made that error too initially with you @D7andFLC unfortunately :p .. xx

Seriously @Admin , it's not an issue for either of us at all.

I'm not really bothered by it at all tbh, just find it ammusing and it tickles me.

Definitely agree that times have definitely changed and for the better.

On the plus side, despite publicly being a couple and attending clubs, we've not yet been charged couples entry fee. Cherching!! lmfao .

Thank you all for your input. FLC xx

Well same problem here, Ive always been bi and have had relations with men and women but as soon as I started a relationship with Lace I was then classed as lesbian, Im still bi even though my devotion is to her but when we do have fun then I can choose if its men or women that join us, greedy I call it hehe xxx

ok. my contribution to this is that im not bi...... my mouth and cock are. I dont fancy men but i enjoy bi play in a MFM 3sum. I enjoy it to the point that i look for couples with a bi male more than straight couples but i could never see myself in a relationship with a man or meet a man alone.
