I'm almost the same but then I'm a grinch and can't stand the whole thing of birthdays and especially humbug day, makes me grimace even thinking of it. You do seem to need a present though just not from me on those days xxx

Yeah I cringe too at it. I don’t like getting presents etc and then being made to open them in front of people showing that faux happiness. Balls I say. I love it for others, but really.... leave me out of it. Can’t stand that side of it tbh. X

Tis me though... I genuinely feel uncomfortable. Not for others, just me. Same on birthdays too. A card is nice and I always appreciate the thoughts behind lovely gifts..
