Yeah, the follow up at the National Gallery was going to have a discussion and quiz surrounding a series of Hogarth paintings called Marriage a la Mode containing themes of arranged marriage, sex, infidelity, STIs, adultery and death.

I got in early, went to the wing and practiced my patter on a rather amused boy and his mum who were idly inspecting the pictures and, just as we had assembled the group, some nutter attacked another painting and the gallery was closed. Bugger.

So we went to the pub instead.

You know those evenings where you accidentally end up inviting two people back to yours after the party but everyone's up for a 3sum so it's all good?
