On the back of @Pearls thread here; What Do You Notice what about the opposite to that question?
What do you think your online persona says about you, to others, on here?
Do you believe that how you conduct yourself on here and how you portray yourself, will have a direct and immediate effect on how people could possibly respond to you - especially for meets etc? x

I think Certainly has an impact to that individual to how they carry themselves and could result in a reply of a message but peoples views on meets in my opinion depends on how strong they are in their views and reasons to why they wouldn’t meet or want to meet?

Apparently, I seem taller online o_O

I have to assume that our online persona (or mine, really, as Lis never posts) reflects who we are IRL. I'm possibly a little shyer, away from the keyboard. I have very rarely been surprised by people's RL personas after chatting to them online, so I tend to believe that anyone who is intellegent or flirty or even a right old misery around the site will be the same face-to-face.

Obviously we wouldn't be in as much of a rush to meet the miseries as we would the flirts :D

With me Looby...what you see is what you get in the main. And if you don't like it then I'll probably have to cry myself to sleep before I move on (not). We can't all like everybody in life or be liked by everybody but there are always plenty out there that you will click with. Even if you may not be what we are looking for we are happy to chat and we have made some really good friends on here who we only ever socialise with but always look forward to catching up with at socials or local pubs xx

I hate the term (because it misses the point of the original quote seriously watch 'this is spinal tap') but online I'd saying I'm turned up to eleven, a bite more forward, a bit more cheeky, a bit more open and a lot louder than in real life but boardly speaking I'm the same person theirs no point in my being your only going to caught out otherwise.

We are much the same what you see is what you get if you can't handle that then move on. Me Vanessa can be quiet for a bit and online brings me out more but I am really like that in life once I am comfortable with someone.

Wysiwyg I'm sometimes serious, sometimes, to coin my recent label, a boiled sweet.
Obviously your online persona is a reflection of your true self. I see that everyday in members posts but I, like most people, will always be attracted to those who are funny and come across as enjoying life. Everyone has their ups and downs in life, we see it nearly every day and it is noticeable when an otherwise bubbly personality is having a bad day. Thats ok, I think the problem comes when individuals consistently come across as negative as eventually people will give up on them .... and we have had a few like that in the past but they have left because they were not getting anywhere.
So yes, your online persona on a site like this where interaction is essential, can make or break your chance of a meet.

Irl I have a stammer which limits how much I talk. But otherwise I try to be exactly who I am here and everywhere.

Easy I'm batty and cba with miserable people ,they only bring themselves down
Why do you think I liken you to a ferrero rocher, at first you seem like a bit of a nutter, then when yo get to know you a bit to find a soft center, before finding under that soft center you are in fact just nuts.

Another thing is, I can edit myself online. I tend you use the wrong words or stumble and stutter more often IRL, I suppose.

Well people seem to think that I am a sex fiend, aggressive and impossible to approach online...

Still bad publicity is better than none...

Now if you can excuse me please I have to go feed the homeless and other crap like that...
