I agree but we cant take on the troubles of the World till our Home is in good order!
been saying that for to long now, the world is a much smaller place with the birth of the internet I don't feel we can ignore the world issues any longer. we need to solve all the worlds problems and in my eye we start that by stopping the greed and taking back the money from the super wealthy and redistributing to them whom need it.

Sooo I been watching this with great interest

Firstly thanks your lucky stars I am out and about !! Otherwise you would have statics over loads

1-5 children go to be hungry in U.K.

1-10 families live in severe hardship

Families and pensioners choose to eat rather than turn on gas or electricity

Families I've worked with have gone with heating for the while winter

When you see an old person who has £10 per week after ether bills are paid to keep house and feed themselves

Average working family are three pay days away from loosing but their house

There are a number of very giving entrepreneurs in Scotland , I was given £ 300,000 grant to run my project

The poverty levels across our country shouldn't be resolved by business men

It should be a government to take responsibility for their decision making and policy implementation

I'm going bite my lip lol because I can feel full scale rant coming ---soweee !!!!!

By all means support the rest of world but charity n support begins at home

Just gag me please :gimp::gimp:

the world is our home, my neighbor in is America, Afghanistan and North Korea as well as Ayrshire. A Grant for entrepreneurs in Scotland is fantastic and something that makes me proud of my fellow Scotts but my point in the thread is the ones sitting on the billions. they are the ones as a world people we need to put pressure on.

again the point of the thread is the 10 reported riches people (pretty sure there is richer) own 50% of the worlds wealth that's ten people!! if we hit the super rich it is far more then a drop, its a fucking tsunami. this is where the global problem lies not with how much we give to Europe, that whole arse hole of a situation we call Brexit is another fuck up for another thread.

All I am saying is Home first, The wealthy haven't caused the problem What about the millions of peeps who rely on them for there living how much the already put in the pot Gates has given loads and intends giving it all away when he dies, If wasn't for him we couldn't have this conversation.

why could we not be having this conversation without Bill Gates?

the company's owned by the people we are talking about have there own budgets and incomes, not the personal wealth of the super rich owners,
yes Bill Gates has done a lot of the world and intends to do a lot more so that's one of the list
and do you think the list stops at ten people? wealth distribution is appalling and need it be taken care of on a global scale.

My question is who would enforce this and how ,where would the money go ,how do people determine who's more needy than the next person ,country ?

Well I suppose it would have to be a world union. Much like a European Union but us up north know how much you down south don't like them kind of things so lets just call it a world commission.x

Shocking stats, but I see it every day in Leith.
It's everywhere...
I personally do agree with the wealth/poverty divide you're discussing. Sadly I don't think much can be done about it.
Simply put governments just need to do more for the vulnerable and those in poverty.
I started a campaign and not for profit charity many years ago, which gathered space extremely quickly - even got to reach out to some VIP's & still have official letters from The Monarchy, but in the end it got nowhere. Sadly I can't discuss anything further about this for anonymity reasons.
The big man, don't give a shit about the little man. Way it is, way it's always been and I can't see it changing any time soon.

I'm not ashamed to admit this. I'm for the first time in my adult life, lost within politics and feel myself being drawn to voting Tory. Always been a Labour supporter as you can probably tell. But truthfully, I feel being pulled to the Tories.... hell of a predicament.

Don't do it, look over Labour pledges and then at the troies see what your heart tells you. Look back at the past 20 years and see how they have ripped industry apart. Look over the last year at the lies they have told to persuade Brexit. Not to be trusted.

Oh I know that... I know what they did. Bearing in mind we're in South Wales which was shredded by the Tories.
But May has delivered on a few things and kept her word. Will see how it goes.
Lib Dems anyone? :D ;)
