So you're in messages with someone, you think it's going okay and have even got as far as to possibly arrange a meet - but perhaps the spark just is not there.
Maybe you try and get things going and it just seems to not get anywhere? Perhaps the conversation is pretty flat?
What do you do? Continue and chase, continue with trying to chat and possibly go ahead with the meet or simply throw the towel in and give up?

Depends on how fit they are. If they're attractive I can easily forgive dullardry. On the first date, anyway. :)

Sometimes the fuse is fecked.. Change it and move on.
People tend to work off first impressions but I try to ignore them.. But I don't ignore my instincts..
Re set my RCD and start again..

I'd like to think that I have never had a conversation so dull i couldn't get some life out of it but I'm an optimist and the truth is some people really are worse than dishwater. I do persevere but if its come to that point I'm just being polite to get away :D

I think messaging can be deceptive so I am prepared to meet socially first before I throw in the towel. I am the shy retiring kind so I rarely come across well in written chat  Having said that my daughter's perception of what is polite and what is not in texting varies hugely from mine. For example if you break your sentences...... like this...... she sees that as you being in a mood. By the time she's finished criticising me I am.......
So I am wary about judging on messages alone after all I'd hate to miss out on some naughty fun for the sake of a few dots :D

There's been a. Few times where it feels like the other person doesn't care? But yea I may try to keep chatting incase it's rl that's causing there to be a lack of spark but I may not meet if it doesn't get better

Would chuck in the towel right off cos I feel if your not going to put any effort into chatting how lazy are you going to be on the meet

I know what you're saying but I'm also aware that living in a household consisting of 3 dyslexics, that written communication can be not only difficult, but fraught with misunderstandings and misinterpretation so a lack of effort may not down to laziness. X

Got told on here recently that they were too busy to chat to me. I may be shit at picking up signals but even I got that they weren't prepared to even see if there's a spark.

You maybe right but then they could possibly have been genuinely busy at that time. Just a thought.
