I am although I find I don't really no longer pay much attention to what the likes of charles and camilla get up to, the young royals are certainly heading people in the right direction of people popularity once again

I'm not a fan of the royals but know that they bring a lot of revenue into the country by means of extra tourists etc.

Definite royalist but feel Charles should make way for William to reign. 100% sure this won’t happen though and will be to the detriment of the country.

People look to icons... The Royal Family set a tone/history/president..... They are England's better version of the Kardashian's.... I think in today's society they pull in people and are a ''spectacle'' to be seen.

I'm not really much of a royalist but I don't have anything against them, what does sting for though is the expense all the palaces surely the monarch needs nothing more than a London residence and a country one, the same with the Prince of Wales and his household.

Please note I refer to the constitutional positions rather than individuals.

Im pretty sure though they have to pay for their other properties, most of the money they get is for the upkeep and restoration of bucks palace.
Prince Charles place has all the products it produces there paying towards his estate I believe.

Are you a Royalist or not?
I kinda vacillate between totally disestablish them - make them private citizens and take away any public roles, maybe let them keep their top 10 castles or whatever - and then on the other hand I think hang them as an affront to democracy.

Swings and roundabouts, really.

:)

I'm not a royalist however I don't have anything against them what does irritate is all this about Kate and where she is having her baby, who gives a monkey's. Women have been having babies for centuries without having it anounced on the BBC news.

Go on..... see if you can guess.
Well it's not hard is it... :D I imagine something like this;

"They're leeches, who bleed from societies money pit, live in luxury and lavishness, yet so many poor, starving and hungry people in our land. Especially when there's homelessness. Taxes; don't go there.
Sell off everything they have, distribute it to the poor & needy, ditch the anarchy - make a republic"

Or something along those lines.

Is it really that bad to have a Royal family, don't they bring in huge revenue?
I don't know figures but I guess it's a lot.

Its a lot of money that is brought in and for every wedding, new baby etc there is even more tourism and money spent!
People seem to forget aswell when they say get rid of them and sell off the properties that it would make lots & lots of people unemployed which would only add to issues.
