What's in a wink?

Why is it that when you send someone a message or a wink...they don't answer at all?
Would it not be good manners to say."Sorry we are not interested , but thanks anyway"?
They leave you in the dark, you are not sure if they got the message and then you sent another one only the same..
No response at all!!!!!!!!

By definition I am a flirt..
I adjust mens ties, even when they are straight… Touch them on the arm while talking to them…
To smile at someone across the room.. Bite my lip…...

Never had a wink sent to me but have sent a few I just take it as there not interested and don't bother them again. As for messages I will always reply as I think that they have taken the trouble to write it its only polite to answer :tiphat:

So you send winks but don't get a reply..
But you reply to messages sent to you?
Try sending messages instead of a wink

I would have thought a wink is a good opener ? As in may be interested wink back or reply if you are too... less forceful an approach than a message but an approach nonetheless. Defo going to stop using a wink now though after seein what everone else thinks .

Remember different strokes for different folks

I wink people guys and don’t mind receiving one. I think it’s a nice start but you could always use the wink as a conversation starter if you know what I mean :D

Totally agree
Some see it as lazy while others see it as playful and fun

They're a fun way of waving to someone and just saying hello. Granted some may say it's lazy and you should make more effort, but they're a harmless bit of fun really. x

;)
As I said it’s a good conversation starter. You can always send a quick message saying. “ just thought I would show how lovely your profile is by giving a little wink”
Job done. ;)

Sending a wink is fine, it's a little fun and flirty. I find it's best to send a wink and follow it up with a message. Say something with more substance than "Hi" If someone says "Hi" to us, we say "Hi" back, and then it's conversation tumbleweed.
Read a profile, send a wink, send an icebreaker message preferably mentioning something you've read on their profile or seen in the forums.

Good luck (y)
