They have sprayed graffiti all over the motorway bridge in Manchester.. I can see that really helping the environment using a compressed gas spray can doesn't cause any emissions at all.. W..
They used an old fire engine probably powered by Diesel to spray a lovely old building in London with red die mixed in water ! That’s not a waste .... now to clean it up they will have to chemically clean the building using more precious water .... mind the hose blew off and near took some of the idiots out as it flailed about ....

Ok I grew up in an era when milk n pop came in glass bottles
Plastic bottles of water hadn’t been invented, council best Adams ale was good enough
All our vegetables came out of the garden or from the greengrocers in paper bags
You took your own strong shopping bag to the shop
Any vegetable waste went on the compost heap
I walked to and from school possibly a mile there and back
My dad biked to work
People helped each other

so why the fuck do I keep getting blamed for killing a planet I love !

oh and did these kids that are protesting tidy their rooms before they tried to tidy the planet ?

With all this environmental stuff going on I drive a Diesel Van ... yes public enemy No 1:p it’s a Mercedes and got Bluetec so it’s a tree hugger sort of
I’ve just taken a look at the new Ford Transit Hybrid Plug in .... it does 31 miles on a full charge o_O 31 !!
Now in comparison to the equivalent Diesel model it’s £15000 more  ... for big businesses users this might not be a problem but would I consider one ?? The answer is it doesn’t make financial sense .... so I’ll stick with killing the planet it cost me less ...:D

I wouldn’t worry. There’s enough gas guzzling coaches taking the ER into London, then you have streets lined with rubber from all they’re yoga mats.:D

We are all for recycling etc, try to do as much as we can.
But its a bit of a drop in the bucket when China are talking about opening up a new coal-fired power station every two weeks for the next 30 years!

Lol.
The UK, and other countries in Europe, have some of the most stringent targets for reducing pollution in the world... but America, China, Russia and India are going to be wiping those gains out by a massive margin. It's good to lead by example, but unfortunately nothing we do will make much of a difference, when compared with those.

This is it. When we factor in, the sheer bloody scale of China - who in all fairness are only recently doing their own industrial revolution, US and India: then what chance do we or Aunt Maud have, by switching off more lights or not using our tumble dryers anyway?
This is not when is the bus gonna hit us (a nod to ER ;) ) but the fact that it’s travelling at 60mph toward us and none of us can do much about it when crazy Joe is in his stolen bus chasing at 90mph.

This is why we wont have a smart meter fitted.
Forget for a moment that they need power to run, and power to make, as well as being made out of plastic.
Forget also that, currently, if you change supplier then its normal for your meter to stop working and need to be changed (why.. after all, they are all made by the same company in....wait for it...China!)
What use are they really?
Anyone who isn't wealthy already knows how much money they spend on leccy and gas, and how to cut down so the bills aren't silly.
All this "help us to save the environment" bullshit is ... well, bullshit.
Without wanting to sound like some sort of tinfoil hat-wearing conspiracy theorist, the truth is that "they" are monitoring when, and how much, you use, so they can find a way of charging you more for power and heating in some way...after all, you dont really think that "they" want you to use less, do you?:noidy:

A tad extreme possibly :)

Very extreme.
Here's a solution, any that are arrested should be put into a chaingang, and made to clean up the mess they have made.
Once the mess is cleaned up, they should be made to do a couple of hundred hours community service work in some form of environmental group, you know, the ones that go around cleaning up rivers, planting trees and stuff like that... I know, I know, not really a punishment is it, I mean, they love the environment dont they?

I think they love the days off work more than the environment.. They convince employers it's all in a good cause why they need the time off.. Even schools have jumped on the bandwagon closing for days to take the children on protesting marches.. W..
