I've always been of the impression that it is good etiquette to wait for a couple to invite a swingle to join em. I wouldn't dare approach a couple .So why don't you guys send messages to people who've piqued your interest, rather than waiting for them to come to you?

We have since being on here messaged a few people. Always distance the problem
We're getting there... still relatively in it's infancy. Just have to keep pushing (as we do) and it will happen, we will continue to grow the way we are and that means more people locally..
