this country has always had a Royal family and I see no reason to change it or our history ..Interest from around the world generates a lot of revenue for this country ...
History is history we cant change what`s gone before both the good and the bad ......

Sorry but you are quite wrong there when Charles the first was executed at the end of the English civil war there was no monarchy for several years :)

The Interregnum, led by Oliver Cromwell - problem was, no-one could think what to do after he died, so the post of Lord Protector was offered to his son, Richard, who resigned shortly after and paved the way for Charles II to come back and this started the so-called Constitutional Monarchy - but it took another civil war/revolution in 1689 to fix that properly.

History is a work in progress.

what about when the dinosaurs ruled ,think you have missed the point ...
No - my point is that monarchs haven't always existed so you can't really use some supposed idea of permanence to support the institution.

Or you might as well say we should be ruled by druids 'cos they used to have the job way back when...

It is nice to see that the Royals are now less for sticking with the strict discipline of how the royals are suppose to act and paving way for the next generation of royals can change royal traditions for the better x

Tbh, I do quite like this aspect of the wedding. It seemed to be opening up some possibilities for joining the 21st century.
