Well hello all you kinksters out there in the social swinging community.
Although BDSM and swinging are two very different lifestyles and communities they have a massive crossover appeal which I think is down to both groups being more adventurous and open to different dynamics than what is considered the norm by those who have yet to experience either a fluid sex life or a good spanking.
The very big difference, of course, is that swinging has more of a focus on the actual carnal act whereas BDSM features more power exchanges and the cornerstones of the BDSM synopsis more than full-blown sex. More and more these days we are seeing the crossover between the two lifestyles which may have a direct link to how more people are becoming relaxed about taking bondage and impact play into the bedroom.
However, this has not necessarily enthralled those who are die-hard into the BDSM lifestyle full time. One of the main problems being that this greater interest was generated by the 50 shades books and films which are not considered very highly within those circles and actually portrays a controlling and abusive relationship rather than a D/s dynamic.
At Kinky Consent parties, we welcome people from both communities as long as they have an interest in the world of BDSM, whatever their level of knowledge or experience.
