I know this is an old thread but I just found it and as a bi man it made interesting reading. As a single I had pretty much the same amount of great sex with both men and women and did wonder how people would feel about it in swinging terms.

Could'nt resist this one... One of the many reasons I love this site, is that there is a bi-playful option, to describe your sexuality. Throughout my years I have had a range of experiences, which I won't bore you with here, and found that, whilst you could describe me as bisexual, I tend to hate being pigeonholed ( not a kinky sex act btw!) Life and sexuality is many shades and hues, not black and white. And, I found, through my experiences, that my liking is for bi-action with a couple. I find it a considerable turn on if the lady is excited by it too. Such is the beauty of life and sexuality, a rich tapestry with so many interesting and interwoven threads. Now... Where's me geetar?

Wow what an interesting thread. I like to read the old threads sometimes. I have read through the 9 pages and found it quite informative. I didn't know the difference between a pan sexual and a bi-sexual until now.

How do I feel about it?
I am attracted to intelligence, humour and wit on paper. I find it does stimulate me however face to face is a different story.
The male physique just doesn't turn me on. It's not something I've chosen to shun it simply biologically doesn't do anything for me. I've thought about it, imagined it and even kissed another fella who I had a pleasant evening with but ultimately nope nothing happened in the trouser department.
I suppose I just prefer the female body.

I have no quarrels with bi-sexual, pan sexual, transsexuals or any other labels, it doesn't make me uncomfortable and I would consider it a compliment if another man found me attractive but licking another mans lollipop is not something that wakes little Baldrick up.

As a side note Kaz says that she doesn't particularly find the idea of man on man a turn on, however if I were inclined to do so she would like to watch out of curiosity.

Let me tell you a little story...

When I was 17 or so was in WHSmiths and spotted a (glossy) interiors mag that had a (fancy) bedroom on the front cover. From the bed a (handsome) young man looked back at the viewer and, sleeping on either side, were a (fit) woman and man.

Remember staring at this for what seemed like an age and thinking - That's IT! That's what describes me! A real light bulb moment.

Up to that point I had been in a quandary; I knew I liked women and I knew I fancied men. I knew about heterosexuality and I knew about homosexuality but didn't understand how I fitted into that. That magazine cover (never actually picked it up or read it) opened a door in my head to a space where I began to understand that it's alright to want both.

Took a few years to find the edges of it properly but I wore it as a badge - literally sometimes - I made one that said I shag lads and lasses.

I wouldn't describe myself as Pansexual as I'm only attracted to men and women - not sexually interested in the in-between, TVs/TS, or even androgynous people. Like my men to be men and my women to be women.

That was then...

Since, tbh, I've had more shite from gay people than straights. There can be a bit of a problem within the LGBT "community' (never felt any such group adequately represented me; done Pride, whatever... I'm just not gay enough and don't really care much for the politics of it) towards bi people "Bi now, gay later" kinda thing. Suppose many gay people came out in pieces and probably used bisexuality as a crutch along the way and maybe have trouble relating to different experiences. Maybe some gay people don't like that we can live as ostensible heterosexuals and enjoy a measure of conformity... I don't know. But it an issue I've encountered on numerous occasions.

I do think it's easier to be a bi woman - it feeds fantasy - whereas bi males can be viewed more suspiciously by straight men in particular and in general as dirty little bed hoppers who spread diseases. Look at the bans many MSM* performers have on working with straight female performers in porn for instance. It's a viewpoint.

When it comes to swinging/this scene, however, it's been something of an advantage, I've found. Plenty more people are curious than repulsed and, as I do make a fair bit of noise, I'm easy to find.

*has his cake and eats it noisily*



* MSM = "men who have sex with men", ie encompassing the broad spectrum of sexualities & reasons

Great post @DiamondJoe very well written I have to disagree with your thoughts that you think it's easier for bi women as in my experience it isn't but that's another story.
