Not trying to be awkward.
Where do we stand with people who have avatars which are clearly of objects and contain no people or body parts of whom the profile supposedly belongs?

I've come across one tonight on the forums and when I clicked on it it said we were limited to seeing the profile info. I personally don't like that and if I could I'd block them as I'd like to stop them looking at us. Can they see our profile and pics?

You're not being awkward.. much :p
Nah seriously you're not.
This was discussed, and I am happy to say that avatars mean sweet FA in this scenario.
It's either photos - or not. Avatars don't count.

People do have the option to hide themselves and whilst they're perfectly entitled to, this has been a long running debate with @Pearls and I - why be on a swinging site when you then go and hide yourselves?
Yet they then are perfectly able to look at you, your pics - comment and all sorts, but if you click on them - you're unable to view the profile.

What do we do about that and are people entitled to having that privacy?
Tricky call.... But I am happy to explore this with you all if you want?

We messaged someone recently, or I did - who joined, hid himself, switched off all notifications, all alerts, all info - prevented anyone from viewing him all so he could perv in ninja mode. Without anyone being able to contact him, send a pm and so on.
Needless to say he got a stern PM from me. Entitled to privacy yes.. being here stealthily? no way Jose...

So I concur and it has long been a debate between Pearls and myself.
Again, I am happy to explore and discuss this further?

And you can easily block said person Miss FLC, simply go to your blocked people and add the name, or click their name and on the profile info click block. (y)

I agree. I think people looking for people should at the very least show themselves on their avatar and not a random object.
Nor should they have access to other people photos if they refuse to do so

I agree with this too.
Also, the latter part - this is now sorted as account have to have a minimum of two images, approved by staff, in order to view the gallery.
Images of parks, cars, mountains and pussy cats do not apply here. Real pics or no-go.xx

This could go on for me as I agree with all, first to @Biba Im the same cock pics on profile pics should go and there are much better creative ways of showing who you are.
@D7andFLC another gripe of mine is the internet pics as it shows nothing of who you really are and the question of hiding yourself, It really annoys me and @Admin and I have had words over this as I dont think its fair that a person can hide completly but still look at you, so it is something we need to look at more.
I think with all the suggestions we are recieving this site is going to stand out from any other, the 2 photo system is in place and it is going to twindle out the fakes so lets see and hope we have genuine people here that enjoy the lifestyle for what it is xx

Whatever you do there will always be someone who will object but I'd prefer to be on a site with fewer genuine people than one with loads of "hidden" users so whatever can be done to minimise that is great. Slightly off topic here but are you planning on doing anything about profiles that haven't been accessed for x days? Peronally I find it annoying when you see an interesting profile only to find the user hasn't logged in for months. Just like to keep you lot busy :)

Well this has been brought up, but the issue here is we've seen people not come online for months, then return and then become highly active as they've noticed that the site has further evolved and expanded.
So in all honesty, that one is tricky as some people do come back, drop by and then think - oh this has changed and then go on to become active members..
Very tricky. (y)

True but they can always create a new profile. You could possibly auto generate an email to warn them that their profile is about to be deleted in say 10 days. If they fail to respond then delete the profile. OK I appreciate they may have changed their email address (you would get an mail failure msg eventually) but it really is frustrating to spend time seaching only to find so many of these people have been on the site for eons. Come on I'm trying to keep you busy instead of sitting around twiddling your thumbs or whatever else you're doing :p:)

Indeed, I do currently have a way of notifying members of inactivity if you like, and a way of saying come back on you've been missed etc.. But I agree and understand how frustrating it is when you're looking around and find someone of interest only to discover they've not been around for X amount of months..
We will look into a way of trying to negotiate this, we don't really want to delete people's accounts merely based on the fact they've not been on for so long, as I said - even now we have an active member who's back on after some serious time away - turns out there was some bad RL stuff going on.
So it's not the easiest of decisions to make, but basing the deletion on a specific set amount of time is the hardest.
This will definitely get looked into Mr Therapon (y)

lol I have nothing else to do, so appreciate the work suggestions   :D

Phew. Anyone new who has uploaded images but still cannot access the gallery, please PM me; it's imperative you do otherwise I won't know that you cannot access the gallery.
Thank you!

EDITED!
This rule is now implemented!
This is VERY important, you MUST now have a minimum of Two photos in the gallery in order to be able to view the gallery.

We know that this may cause unrest for members who don't have any images uploaded, but this has been voted for by an overwhelming majority and therefore it is only right we implement this, and therefore ensuring more safety for our members and thus creating a better atmosphere by not having people join who only wish to view the gallery.

This is a swinging site and NOT a free porn pic collectors site, of real people - our members.

All photos will be vetted by staff - mods/admins before approval and if they are not within our rules, they will be rejected.
Thus unless you have 2-3 photos we believe to be genuine, you will not be able to view members' photos but you will still have access to the gallery.

Thank you for your overwhelming response which is obviously something very important to you all.
You'll be pleased to know that this is now in effect immediately...

Thank you for your patience whilst I carried out tests and implemented this.
Any issues, please do let me know ASAP

Regards
Admin x :)

===============================

Hello sexy peeps.
I would like your opinions on pic collectors.
We all hate them, they're everywhere including here.

NO avatar, NO photos, NO information.. joins and then instantly views the gallery and instantly starts making comments on your photos.
We all know the type..

Do you think it's fair, right and appropriate that someone can just join and have no avatar, no photos, actually stay that way for their existence here, and have the right to view everyone's images...
Yes or no?

please share your thoughts...
Thank you all :) x
Wholeheartedly agree that members who want to view pictures should have at least two pics of their own for others to view along with a complete profile
