This is the worry. I don’t know ?‍♀️ but people still won’t follow the rules. I didn’t realise how selfish people had become.
I know we're really lucky being on permanent nights and not mixing with many people in work.. As we don't go out in the day.. The only time we have contact with anyone is shopping.. We don't go to pubs definitely not going to restaurants.. But I really feel for people on their own and can't see their families.. I just don't think enough thought goes into these lockdowns.. W.. ??

I feel for single and elderly who live alone I really do but most of the younger generation create sex bubbles willy nilly anyway. Mindless.

He thinks he's doing people a favour by letting elderly and single parents keep in contact.. I personally think there was better options available.. Lockdown is a kop out its just an easy answer.. There not looking at how to live with this until there's a vaccine...W..??

I agree and feel for everyone who has to make decisions like this but we simply have no long term plan. I’ll be honest, not seeing our boys is starting to get to me especially when they are alone. It’s a lonely time

I don’t believe the lockdown is going to make any difference, because it boils down to the attitude of people not following the rules!

So, on the 9th of November they are all going to start socialising with each other again! give it a month & you’ll be back in the same situation.
:palm:
I don't think anything will change in 2 weeks.. He will say the numbers are not as low as we thought so we're leaving the local lockdowns in place.. He hasn't got an answer to moving forward and living with the virus.. Non of the governments have.. Their answer to everything is lockdown.. W.. ??

Agreed. People needed to listen and do what we were told back in March. I cannot fathom this whole “Keep Britain Free” campaign. They’re #Covidiots ??‍♂️

What other options are there though, this is the problem. What more can be done until we get (if) a vaccine?

He definitely could have gone with tier system.. I know the hospitality sector has been hit hard but I really don't think the pubs should have been aloud to re open.. I know that sounds controversial but after a few hours with alcohol social distancing goes out of the window.. We have seen this with the amount of people together on the streets when they close.. Universities are moving online now because its spreading through there.. Why couldn't they have done that before.... Scientists are telling them lockdowns are all well and good but they need to find ways of living with this virus.. I don't think opening anywhere where people can gather inside is a very good option.. It's only my opinion but I think there too quick to introduce lockdowns.. W..

To a degree I agree with what you’ve said about opening public places etc. Pubs definitely needed to be controlled better completely agree.
What I can’t work out is how we’re supposed to move onward from here. Will this work? Maybe. But as you said, too late again. We’ve been peaking for weeks.

I'm sure there's people who are a lot more intelligent than me on massive salaries working in government who supposed to be looking at options for living with this.. If you look at the problems we had in April.. Struggling with people getting tested.. Struggling to get ppe.. Track and trace system not working properly.. Then they said it will all be sorted in the next month.. They knew this was coming again in June yet here we are in the same position again..!!!!! W.. ???

Just been looking at Wales online and it says the 2 week lockdown will not be extended past the 9th November but that Wales will have to live with different guidelines which are to be announced.. Don't know if that means we stay in local lockdown in some areas there's no information.. It just says more information will become available after the firebreak.. W.. ??

I think it’s the responsibility of us all to have the common sense to do what is morally and ethically correct whilst in this pandemic ? & stop blaming everyone else for something that we all have a responsibility for.

Most people have a brain, so, if you’re worried about catching it or passing it on! the answer is simple don’t socialise!

If you choose to go to the pub, a restaurant, hotel, or club, you are doing it at your own risk! Don’t then blame it on the government for opening things up!

It is the responsibility of us all to be mindful and not hypocritical.

What’s happening at the moment is the definition of insanity, I’ll use an analogy, let’s imagine, if you gave a box of matches to an arsonist an said, you’re not? going to play with those now are you! And then be shocked & surprised that they start lighting fires! They can’t help it it’s in their nature.

Obviously if you’re socialising the virus is going to increase, that’s it’s nature, So, the government are implementing the only option they have left to them!

Because clearly, as a society we cannot follow simple rules!!

Just seen the pics at Wales online from Cardiff City centre last night.. Full of students partying and singing after going to revolution for the last night out before lockdown.. All together on the street at 10pm singing and dancing and they wonder why the virus figures are so high.. It proves my theory though about pubs and students helping it spread to older people.. I'm not saying this is all the cause of it but it definitely doesn't help... W.. ??

No doesn’t help at all.

What pisses me off about all this is, we’re about to go into full lockdown. Swansea has been for weeks now, but this is different.
Who the fook do the Welsh Govt think they are to dictate to us as to what is “essential shopping” only?
They’ll be banning sales of alcohol next!!
Idiots.
