It's hard to believe now, when I rate myself more as a kinkster than a swinger, but I actually started out as a swinger - and that in itself was pretty coincidental.
You see, it all started with a conversation with a now ex-boyfriend about my sexuality. I sat him down shortly after we decided we were in a relationship and told him that in no uncertain terms was I going to compromise wanting to be free to explore my sexuality, and if he had any reservations about it he should tell me. Well, it turned out he didn't - but not just because he wanted to see me getting down and dirty with another woman. "Sure," he said, "that would be hot, but I'm bisexual too, and I've never been able to explore. Maybe we could do that together?"
That started a whole thing. We joined one website after another, exploring... well, how to explore, I suppose. Our first visit to a club was interesting - two 20 year olds fresh on the scene invited a lot of attention! We turned up, having scoured the website and swinger forums, still unsure what to expect. Needless to say, we started going to the club every so often. We met lots of people and had lots of experiences, some of them fun and wonderful, others definitely not so. There were highs and lows, of course. We both learnt a lot. We eventually broke up for unrelated reasons after about 6 years together. I don't think he ever did really explore his bisexuality though... ?
