Swinging itself as a community, has to change. It has to overcome some of its downfalls and pitfalls that it currently has.

Times have changed. People have changed. Society has changed and is ever changing. But lexicon is changing, attitudes are changing..
Since the Pandemic, we've realised what really is important to what is not. I mean, family and our homes, plus the work/life balance.
But there's also a more of a 'can do' attitude. More of a 'live your life to the fullest' approach.

The porn industry has boomed and as per, so has the look and approach of swinging.
More people want to explore their sexuality. More people want to explore sex, more people want to push the boundaries.
But with that comes warnings.
The oh so typical swinging labels, prejudices and stereotyping.

So let's explore some of these and put some to rest, at the same time in doing so - hopefully realise what needs to change to welcome the younger generation into this fun and liberating lifestyle.

Swinging is stereotyped for - fat, balding, seedy old men with their haggard wives.
Okay granted there are some of those around, ngl..
But overall, you will find that most people are your average couple/swingle, who puts effort into appearances, self grooming and making sure they're as presentable as if they would be out on a date.

But sites are filled with seedy old men who want to perv at my pics?
Yes, that also is true. But some sites tend to manage this and either eradicate the pic collectors, or push for those who feel uncomfortable - to actually block these members.
A lot of sites will always have those seedy people, it's par for the course, but an actively ran site, will help manage who is and who is not welcome.

Classiness to a site?
Yes. Some sites are just trash. They are trashy, they collect and gather trash.. Why? Because it makes money and lots of it!


Therefore your average site, doesn't give a damn about you or your problems. It's all about the money.
So choose wisely.

Preferences!

In this page I want to explore people's preferences and other people's opinions about their preferences.

Preferences are very important to swinging. It's no different to dating for example. I'm not talking sexual preferences either, I mean towards others.
You kind of know what your type is, who you're looking for and who you think aligns with what you're seeking as a couple.

But what about what other people think about your preferences?
Most will say - "I don't care what other people think about our preferences.." - which is fair enough.
But there's a preference and then using dinosaur language to express it.

Not going woke here either.
But we have to face the reality that times have changed. A lot of us may well be set in our ways and that's fine, but there are newer faces coming through the door. This site alone is creeping into a decade old.
Imagine ten years ago with swinging to where it is now?

For it to advance, continue to flourish & grow, the lifestyle has to adapt to a new way of thinking!
Not just that, but a different approach to speaking and how one portrays themselves to others too.

A perfect example of this would be the way that some crossdressers are viewed. (I am using this as a generic example).
The term Tranny is deeply offensive to some, but fine with others. Personally I think it's not a nice thing to say about someone who enjoys dressing up in ladies' clothes. I wouldn't use it on someone nor say it to them.
Yet there are members here who would. That kind of language has to change.

Single men. Fucking hell don't we know that single men are the scrapheap of the swinging world..
Well I am sorry but you're wrong.
Single men are as much as an attribute to swinging as what single ladies are!
Without men involved, you couldn't have your MMF 3sum, your spit roast etc
Just as you couldn't have MFF without a lady.

I think it's always important to understand that behind the screen, there is a person.
In order for this lifestyle to continue, to progress, it has to be more open and more inclusive to all.

Your preferences may not, probably will not suit others. Just as theirs won't suit or appeal to you.
But that doesn't mean you nor they should be offensive about it either.

Having a preference is normal, it's healthy and part of being a human being.
Just don't be a plank when talking about them. Think about the person you may be talking about!

I think the language and terminology used, is something that we do need to look at.

We have to be honest here, words are important and some of the currently used words are just complete turn offs.
Let's delve a little deeper into the more well known and embedded terminology that currently exists and see what you think of them.

Cum-Tribute.
When a male takes an image on a device and either prints it off or shows it on a device. He then masturbates to it, ejaculates over it, then shares the image to the lady/couple.
I mean... come on. No, not literally. But bloody hell.
No wonder 'nillas look at this whole lifestyle with gaping jaws.

Whilst it is true that some women enjoy this odd act, most do not. It's been further perpetuated by online virtual sex and the porn industry.

Airtight.
The practise of filling all three orifices of a female.
So people who join such sites and then post comments on media and in threads, asking what women want to be airtight.. they're doing the lifestyle no favours at all.
Imagine being a hot, young couple, and you're getting messages from people asking to make your partner 'airtight'.
Again, it may be for some, but it's not for everyone.

Dogging.
A woman, with her partner, somewhere in a car park or field, waiting for as many guys as possible, one after another.
Or a few and then others can watch.

The list is pretty endless to be honest, but these are just a few that I thought about off the top of my head.

Now, further perpetuated again by the porn industry, is this really what swinging is? Is that what we want people's perceptions of swinging to be?
Or more of a consensual, sexual encounter with other people by you both? (or self, add accordingly).

Don't mistake me either - a lot of people are into some of the few things listed above, but also please don't be mistaken into thinking this encapsulates swinging as a whole.

It's a consensual act, between 3 or more people, to have a sexual encounter with others.
It's not about cum-tributes, or car park meetings, or filling all holes.. (yikes).

All of these (and more) have been driven on by the porn industry over the last several years. As such, it's created some sore subjects (intentional ? ) about what this lifestyle can offer.

And it truly is liberating!
